So we’re good on the schedule, but behind on posts. Some days are pretty challenging to plug in and write something after a big day on the road.
Yesterday was crazy. We started in Bridgeport California and Joys phone read 48 degrees, but we’re positive we hit colder pockets and we were around 7500 feet. As we rolled into Las Vegas around noon, and much closer to sea level, the motorcycle read 106 degrees. Over a 50 degree swing in one ride. We started with every layer we had and finished super hot. We hit the resort with the intention of enjoying the pool, but I was done with the sun so we jut showed and walked around a bit.
The route yesterday was determined by another coin ride, #4 on the list. We rode near area 51 and stopped in Rachel, NV for my picture (and one with Joy’s new boyfriend). Many of the roads reminded me of Forrest Gump, just a straight line through the desert for miles!

One of the most interesting things is how much smoke is hanging in the air out west. Everywhere we’ve gone you see it in the distance and I can tell with my sinus as well. I’ve been trying to wear a mask as much as possible.
The biggest impact we’ve seen was tonight. We are at The Grand Canyon and went to catch the sunset, in some areas you almost couldn’t see the other side. I have to say, it was still incredible, so amazing. If you’ve never been here, put it high on your list.

We’ve seen so much and still have more on the list. Going forward, I’m going to use this trip to reset myself when I’m having a tough day. What’s one day in the grand scheme of things! I’ll try to finish the trip strong with more posts. Thanke for joining our adventure.
